Ingredients

  • 450g brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

  • 100ml water

  • 60g butter

  • Half a lemon

Method

  • Heat large pan over medium-high heat.

  • Add sprouts, water and butter, season to taste with salt.

  • Reduce heat, simmer for 8 minutes stirring occasionally until the water has evaporated and the sprouts are crisp and tender.

  • Continue to cook for approx. 6 minutes or till the sprouts are golden and tender. Don’t let them go mushy.

  • Plate up sprouts and add a squeeze of lemon.

  • Pairs well with fish and potato.
